Licensed Professional Counselor & Somatic Boxing Coach

Welcome

Animo Counseling is here to serve you in healing from trauma, anxiety, childhood wounds, and relationship struggles.

Animo means mind (Latin), soul & courage (Italian), and encouragement (animó in Spanish).

At Animo Counseling, we strive to embody these aspects of self to find a healthy, integrated life.

If you are looking for guidance with anxiety, fears, identity struggles, anger, or trauma, it takes courage to ask for help. Admitting you can’t do everything on your own is the first step toward achieving wellness in a fast-paced, demanding world.

There are great ways to work on ourselves, but if you are not getting to the root of where things started and shifting your body’s response to difficult triggers, change will be hard to come by. AI might give you some insight and “answers,” but it won’t fix the underlying response.

The way we cope in the world is greatly influenced by how we perceive it. Asking for help and obtaining a fresh perspective with practical tools is often the first and most profound step toward developing the mental muscle needed to become stronger. The more support you gain, the better equipped you will be to take on bigger challenges and achieve more successes.

EMDR, ART, & Somatic Therapy

Utilizing a variety of approaches including: Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic work through Bilateral Boxing-Based practice, ACT, & optional Christian Counseling, I will work with you to create a treatment plan that is customized to meet your unique circumstances.

I offer a compassionate, honest, and supportive space where you can openly explore the challenges you’re facing. Together, we can work toward building resilience, developing self-compassion, and finding healthier ways to navigate stress and difficult seasons.

Seeking therapy is a meaningful step toward creating change and moving forward when old patterns or circumstances are no longer working.

“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.”
